Wheaton Crime: Attempted Burglaries on Elkin Street

Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from Aug. 20-28. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or very near Wheaton.
An aggravated assault occurred in the rear of , 2201 Randolph Road, Wheaton, on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 10:13 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
Two related attempted residential burglaries occurred in the 11600 block of Elkin Street, Silver Spring, on Aug. 29 between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. In both instances, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to force entry.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 11200 block of Grandview Avenue, Wheaton, on Aug. 25 at 2:40 a.m.
Arrested: Male, age 37, from Beltsville; male, age 24, from Hyattsville.
