Wheaton Crime: Robbery Outside 7-11

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Nov. 4-13. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton. 

A strong-arm robbery occurred next to the 7-11 at 12405 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton on Nov. 8 at 7:20 p.m.  The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim and was arrested.

Arrested: Male, 21, from Wheaton.

An attempted armed robbery occurred in the 2000 block of Arcola Avenue, Wheaton on Nov. 12, at 8:06 p.m.  The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property. Three teenagers were arrested. 

A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Kenbrook Drive, Silver Spring, on Nov. 13 at 10 p.m.  Unknown means of entry. The burglary was interrupted by the resident and nothing was taken.
