Wheaton Crime: Robbery Outside Wheaton Metro Garage

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Dec. 17-26. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton. 

An armed robbery occurred in the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle in Silver Spring on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 6:50 p.m.  The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. They drove a small black vehicle. 

An aggravated assault occurred on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2:22 a.m., in the 3300 block of Camden Street in Silver Spring.  The suspect is known to the victim.

            Arrested:  Male, 38, from Silver Spring

A strong-arm robbery occurred on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 2:56 a.m., in the alley behind the Wheaton Music Center on Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in front of the Wheaton Metro garage, 11010 Veirs Mill Road in Silver Spring, on Friday, Dec. 21, at 10:25 a.m.  The suspect threatened the victim and obtained property. 

A commercial burglary occurred at The Church of the Atonement, 10613 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, between Thursday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 21, at 9 a.m.  No forced entry. Nothing taken.

A vehicle theft occurred in the 11100 block of Bucknell Drive in Silver Spring on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 1 a.m.  The vehicle was left running.
