UPDATE: Baby and Mother Found

Shanee Cox and her 6-month-old daughter were reported missing since Feb. 2.

Update, 10:47 p.m.:

Shanee Cox, the 14-year-old Wheaton resident who was reported missing, has been located, according to a Montgomery County Police report.

Cox and her 6-month-old daughter Nevaeh have been reunited with their family members.

Update, 10:54 a.m.:

Missing 6-month-old Nevaeh Cox has been located and has been reunited with family members. Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Family Crimes Division continue to look for the infant’s missing 14-year-old mother.

Original story, 9:47 a.m.:

Shanee Cox, 14, and her 6-month-old daughter, Nevaeh Cox, were last seen on Feb. 2 in the 2200 block of Georgian Way in Wheaton, according to police.

Shanee Cox is described as an African American female, 5’ 2” tall, and weighing 130 pounds.  She has brown eyes and brown hair that is kept in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing a blue coat, a pink shirt, ripped blue jeans over black leggings, and brown boots.       

Nevaeh Cox is described as an African American female, 24” in length and weighing 18 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a pink snowsuit with hearts on it.       

Police said that Shanee Cox and her child may be in the Wheaton-Glenmont area. Police and family are concerned for the welfare of the baby. In addition, Shanee Cox may be in need of medical attention.                  

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shanee and Nevaeh Cox is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 or the Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400.
