Not sure why they even bother to include Deb Belt as the editor on these postings... ?

Folks: Headlines for these daily digests, which we've been doing for months, are never meant to line up with the order of links below. They're a sampling of some of the stories you'll find within the post. Thanks Deb

At one point there were 900 Patches across the country in suburbs. Due to lack of financial success, 300 were cut but Columbia survived. It seems that now they carry state news as much as local and blogs, of course, tend to be national. I also find ads masquerading as blogs. I wish I could see the date of the article in the main page and the location so don't waste time opening something that is not local. I really wish they could put different types of articles in different areas of the page. That way we could look for news in the top left corner, business in the bottom left, blogs in the top right, events in the bottom right or something like that. Any other ideas?

Thanks, Deb, but I still think it is human nature to look for things in the order they are advertised. At least for analytical people and that is was I was told to do when I was an editor.

Deb, Why has Patch avoided letting the public know about the rapid downgrading of the sites? It seems that they just keep playing around with a failed format while the quality and user experience diminishes....I suppose that as an employee you have to be careful about what you say or you'll end up getting the axe like Bryan Sears and Kym Byrnes did..
