Metro This Weekend

Metro will advance major track work on sections of the Green, Yellow and Orange lines over the three-day Columbus Day weekend.

Metro has track work planned on sections of the Green, Yellow and Orange over the holiday weekend. Three stations on the Yellow and Green lines will be closed from Friday close to Tuesday open.

Red Line

No work is planned, although rider traffic may increase due to the Green line station closures.

Green and Yellow Lines

The Shaw, U Street and Columbia Heights stations will be closed all weekend to allow for the installation of new track switches.

Orange Line

Buses will replace trains between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations to allow for construction associated with the Dulles rail extension.

Customers traveling through the work zone should allow about 30 minutes of additional travel time.
