Metro This Weekend

Blue, Orange and Red lines' track work planned for this weekend—allow for an extra 20 minutes of travel time.

Metro has track work planned on sections of the Red, Orange and Blue lines from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, through closing on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Red Line

  • Trains will share one track between Grosvenor and Twinbrook for platform repairs, and one track between Takoma and Forest Glen for cable installation and station upgrades.
  • Plan for an extra 20 minutes of travel time.

Blue and Orange lines

  • Trains will share one track between Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory to allow workers to replace rail fasteners.
  • Allow for an extra 20 minutes of travel time.

Orange Line

  • Trains will share one track between Vienna and West Falls Church as crews replace cross ties and insulators.
  • Allow for an extra 20 minutes of travel time.

Blue Line

Green Line

  • Allow for an extra 20 minutes of travel time.
