Planning Board Approves Glenmont Sector Plan

Find out what's next in the process for Glenmont revitalization.

The Montgomery County Planning Board approved Thursday a document that will guide mixed-use development of Glenmont for the next 15 to 20 years, particularly in the Glenmont Shopping Center area.

Planners envision a future Glenmont that remains a residential neighborhood area, but that also takes advantage of the Glenmont Metro Station as a transit hub.

See the draft that the Planning Board approved on the county's planning department website.
