WUDAC Responds to Council Staff's Wheaton Redevelopment Plan

The Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee supports the county executive's plans for Wheaton Redevelopment over a newer proposal by Montgomery County Council staff.

The Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee sent a letter to the Montgomery County Council today, indicating that its members "strongly oppose the implementation of the Council Staff Recommendation" for Wheaton Redevelopment.

The council staff's proposal, , calls for a different focus in the redevelopment vision: prioritizing construction in parking lot 13 and downplaying the WMATA busbay platform supported by County Executive Isiah Leggett.
