Einstein Sophomore Sets Maryland Swim Record

Rory Lewis, a sophomore at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, set a new state record in the boys' 100-yard butterfly race on Saturday.

Lewis beat out the competition at the Maryland 4A/3A swimming and diving championship with a time of 51.06 seconds, according to the swimming website Reachforthewall.com.

The race was held at the University of Maryland’s Eppley Recreation Center in College Park.
