The Gilchrist Center offers classes and other educational opportunities to all community members, with a focus on the needs of immigrants and their families. In 2010, the organization moved to its new offices at the Mid-County Regional Service Center.
The Gilchrist Center offers English classes at various levels, computer classes and various life skills classes. On weeknights and weekends, the center moves its classes to the Wheaton Public Library's 1st floor, located at 11701 Georgia Ave. The Center has over seventy active volunteers.
