Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim is a conservative synagogue on University Boulevard. Lead by Rabbi Reuben Landman, HTAA is the result of a merger between two synagogues in the area in 1977.
The building includes an administrative area as well as an open courtyard near the main sanctuary. The synagogue has active youth groups as well as a religious school for youth and adults.

As a big advocate of "walkability" in Wheaton, I was dismayed to find that the synagogue has put up a fence with a padlocked door blocking the sidewalk to University Boulevard. The stoplight at University Blvd and Reedie Drive is the only safe pedestrian crossing on University between Amherst and Inwood Avenues. It would be nice to know the "hours" that the sidewalk will be open. It would be nicer still if the County would enforce the public right-of-way, especially with regard to Section 501c, tax-exempt properties. The new condos on Rose Lane likewise blocked pedestrian access - without walkability, Wheaton's redevelopment is doomed.
