schwarma and falafel are a must! what a neighborhood gem!

****

Their veggie burger is pretty good, but the falafel is the best : )

The Shwarma and Falafel stand at Max's is the BEST! This is a must eat.

We really enjoy the falafel and schwarma. Soup and sandwiches have
been ver good also. A family favorite!

The falafel and schwarma are truly incredible and unique! They have so many choices of additions to your pita/platter that it's hard to make choices. Everything is hand cut and/or hand pickled, and tastes fantastic.
The fried chicken is also terrific, if a bit pricier than the Colonel's down the street, LOL. It is obvious that time and care are taken with the food at Max's.

Now, I've only tried the falafel and my husband the schwarma. But it was the best falafel I've tried so far. I overheard someone in the line behind me say it was the best falafel he's had outside of Israel. The guys behind the counter are friendly and were patient with this first timer who needed an explanation on what all the salad components were. Delicious!
