There are already posts on Craigslist and offerings on a number of other websites for rentals for the Jan. 20th event.
Every four years, in the days leading up to Jan. 20, the population of the Washington, DC, metro area swells with revelers looking to celebrate the president’s inauguration. A cottage industry of inauguration-related merchandise and other services crop up, including rental properties to house some of the visitors. Craigslist, VRBO, Airbnb and a number of other websites already are offering rental housing for the Jan. 20, 2013 event. So Tell Us: Would you consider renting your house, apartment or condo to inauguration attendees?

As with any rental, make sure you have a lease agreement in place and a security deposit. For a short term rental, you'll also need payment in advance (in addition to the security deposit).
