Wheaton Crime: Attempted Armed Robbery at Glenmont Metro Station

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from August 13-22. This list is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or very near Wheaton. An attempted armed robbery occurred just north of the Glenmont Metro, 12600 Georgia Avenue, Glenmont on Aug. 15 at 9:51 p.m. The suspects displayed a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property from the victim. Suspect: African-American male, 13-15, 5’, 90 lbs - In the 11600 block of Georgia Avenue on Aug. 20 between 12:01 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Forced entry; property taken. - In the 11600 block of Georgia Avenue between Aug. 19 at 11:00 p.m. and Aug. 20 at 8:30 p.m. Attempted forced entry. Wheaton Crime: Robbery Outside McDonald's

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from July 2-10. This list is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or very near Wheaton. A strong-arm robbery occurred outside McDonald’s, 12135 Veirs Mill Road, Silver Spring, on July 7 at 8:00 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property. A commercial burglary occurred in the 2600 block of Blueridge Avenue, Silver Spring, on July 7 sometime before 8:50 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.
