Crime Report: Armed Robbery in Glenmont

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Feb. 25 - March 5. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton and Glenmont.  - An armed robbery occurred in the 2300 block of Winexburg Manor Drive, Glenmont, on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 2:45 p.m. Police said four suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.   - An aggravated assault occurred in the 3600 block of McMahon Road, Wheaton on Saturday, March 3, at 4:35 p.m.  The suspect is known to the victim.     Arrested: Female, 25, from Wheaton. - An aggravated assault occurred in the 2200 block of Georgian Way, Wheaton, on Saturday, March 3, at 6:15 p.m.  The …

Crime Report: Armed Robbery at Glenmont Bus Stop

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Feb. 4-12. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton and Glenmont.  In addition to the reports listed below, police arrested an 18-year-old from Laurel and charged him in the Feb. 8 armed robbery of the Wheaton Deli on Georgia Avenue.   - An armed robbery occurred at the bus stop at Layhill Road and Greenery Lane, Glenmont, on Friday, Feb. 8, at 9 p.m.  The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. Wheaton Crime: Robbery Outside Wheaton Mall

  Montgomery County police have released the latest crime report for the Fourth District, from Dec. 31, 2012 to Jan. 8, 2013. The list published here is not comprehensive, but rather selects incidents that occurred in or near Wheaton.  A strong-arm robbery occurred in the street between J.C Penney’s and the parking garage at Westfield Wheaton Mall, Wheaton, on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 10:00 a.m.        Arrested: Female, from Takoma Park. Report: Montgomery Umbrella Burglar Sentenced to 75 Years

Paul Jerome Holt, 34, was responsible for at least nine burglaries, and took over $80,000 worth of equipment, WUSA 9 reported.

A man responsible for breaking into businesses from Gaithersburg to Silver Spring and taking laptops, iPads and other electronics has been sentenced to 75 years in prison, WUSA 9 reported. Paul Jerome Holt, 34, was responsible for at least nine burglaries, and took over $80,000 worth of equipment, according to the report. Holt was caught on surveillance video during one of the burglaries using an umbrella to conceal his face. "From Urban Nation to Mars Symbioscience to a dentist office, Mr. Holt preyed upon unsuspecting people who thought their personal or business property to be safe," John J. McCarthy, State's Attorney for Montgomery County, said in a press release. Holt also "stole from a church and a funeral home in the same day," …
