County Bus Services in Wheaton Change Routes

RideOn routes 9, 33, 34, 38 and 51 have changed.

If you traveled on RideOn buses this week in Wheaton, you may have noticed a few route changes that went into effect Jan. 13. Click the routes to see the updated schedules on the Montgomery County's bus services website. Route 9 This route operates Monday through Sunday along these stops: Wheaton Station, Amherst Ave, Arcola Ave, University Blvd East, Four Corners, Colesville Rd, Silver Spring Station. Route 33 This route operates Monday through Friday during peak hours only along these stops: Glenmont Station, Georgia Ave, Arcola Ave, Newport Mill Rd, Connecticut Ave, Kensington Pkwy, Jones Bridge Rd, Naval Medical Hospital Center, NIH-Medical Center Station. Ride On Forum to Discuss Proposed Bus Route Changes

Changes aim at expanding service to new areas and reducing service on less-used routes.

  Montgomery County will host a public forum tonight in Rockville about proposed changes to the county’s Ride On bus service. The forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria on the terrace level of the Executive Office Building, at 101 Monroe St. Reservations for speaking spots closed Sept. 22, but written comments are being accepted through 5 p.m. on Monday. I welcome the forum,. I live in a senior citizen building where there is a bus stop up a incline, that would be dangerous in inclement weather and when you get to the bus stop, there is no shelter. Do you guys ever think about senior citizens?   more ›
