Check Out the Best "Decked" Homes in Maryland

Vote and help a Maryland school district win $100,000.

A Maryland school district has the chance to win $100,000 if a home in its community wins our national Deck the House contest. According to users who voted, three homes—in Columbia, Bel Air and Glen Burnie—made it as finalists for their holiday light decorations.  But now it's up to you to narrow the list down from our 25 finalists to the best decorated home in America. (Wheaton's entry did not make it to the final 25, but you can still see a photo of it.) Until Dec. 28, vote for your favorite and that person could win $100,000 for his or her local school district. All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 29, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest. …

You voted and this house was the top local vote-getter in our Deck the House contest.

    Who has the best “decked” house in Wheaton?  According to users who voted in our annual Deck the House contest, this home has the best holiday lights in Wheaton.  We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors. We loved showcasing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. 3 Tips to Photograph Wheaton Holiday Lights

  We put up holiday lights to see how pretty they look when it gets dark. You want to capture those lights on your camera, but getting those lights to look right in your pictures can be more of a challenge than you bargained for. Professional photographers have lot of experience and cameras with all sorts of settings that most of us wouldn’t know what to do with. Here are three tips for the amateur photographers out there.   Use these tips to take a picture of your holiday lights.
