Reflections on the End of the School Year

A Local Voices contributor writes how his school will bring the year to a close.

The school year is coming to a close, and for many college students it has already ended. Teachers, parents, and students at high schools, middle schools and elementary schools may still have a few more weeks to go. The last day of school for students in Montgomery County Public Schools is June 12. John DeMarchi, the head of school at Evergreen School in Wheaton, writes how saying goodbye to students is a bittersweet celebration. How do you feel as the end of the school year approaches?
