Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2013 for the apartment building at 11141 Georgia Avenue and the BB&T Bank on University Boulevard in Wheaton, according to a report from the Wheaton Redevelopment Program. Lowe Enterprises is constructing a 14-story apartment building with approximately 195 units on the site of what is known as the 'Computer Building' on Georgia Avenue. The BB&T Bank will be built on the west side of University Boulevard across from the Giant at Westfield Wheaton. It looks like this will replace three lots and single-family homes. Here is a link to the preliminary plan, which includes a sketch of what the building will look like.
