About Montgom-Art
Montgomery Art Association consists of a large variety of artists, from beginners to professionals, with a wide range of styles and sensibilities. MAA recurring shows include the June Friendship Heights Village Center Show and the “Paint the Town” Labor Day Show in Kensington. Brookside Gardens and Sandy Spring Museum are other venues where Montgomery Art exhibits.
Montgomery Art’s monthly meetings feature presentations by a local artist, art instructor or other person related to the visual arts. We publish a monthly newsletter, and periodically sponsor workshops to give members the opportunity to learn new techniques and explore alternate media or artistic approaches.
The Montgomery Art Association has a Gallery in Westfield Wheaton mall! All members can show work in the Gallery in exchange for two 4-hour shifts tending the Gallery. Work can include original paintings, giclées or quality prints, small sculptures, ceramics, cards, and bin works.
