Nia Davis, Neighbor

A self-proclaimed struggling writer, &#34;newly&#34; in her 30s, Nia Davis arrived in Chevy Chase when she was 7, after a brief stint as a resident in Silver Spring. She has been writing professionally for more than 10 years, for such local publications as Bethesda Magazine and Montgomery County Insight<i>,</i> and honed her craft at Syracuse University, where she earned a Master&#39;s in Print Journalism.

Nia has taken many career paths, including technical writer, daycare teacher, Banana Republic salesclerk, ESL instructor and PR manager, but she always finds her way back to journalism. &#34;It&#39;s my core. I love learning about new people and places, and I am a nerd, so I&#39;m always trying to find out why things are.&#34;
