ReplyLosing Old Navy is a blow, Amy time you lose a big name, it is going to hurt.

TaL: That sounds about right. Do we have a date yet on the Costco opening? I read March 2013 somewhere, I sure hope it is sooner.

ReplyWhy is it so difficult for Wheaton Plaza stores to open on the date they initially projected? This mall needs these stores (and Costco) badly to balance out all the cell phone, jewelry, and ghetto fabulous clothing stores. Personally, I can't wait for Mayorga!

ReplyBlessed to have power in Wheaton. Short drive to Silver Spring confirmed there was no power in homes and businesses almost the entire way.

ReplyMy friends and I are thrilled Irene's is coming back to the area. It makes the best Honduran food in the area, which is not the same as Salvadoran food though there are similarities. The difference is probably lost on some people but then a lot of these unacculturated folks probably think Thai and Chinese food are the same thing. Can't wait to get me some Tajaditas de Platano and Baleadas. Thanks Patch for making my day!

ReplySpeaking on behalf of mid- to low- level white collar workers, I support the construction of the gas station. It will translate into considerable cost savings for many of us. As another pointed out, there was a gas station where Wendy's used to be and it was fine.

ReplyI really enjoyed meeting Patch staff members at the ToW event. I just loved how diverse the food and people were at this event. I am happy to live in this great neighborhood.

That is a huge blow, this mall needs to keep as many big name stores as possible.
