Grand Opening For Solaire Wheaton

Washington Property Company welcomed about 100 guests, including Montgomery County (MD) Executive Isiah (Ike) Leggett, to a grand opening party for its latest luxury apartment community, Solaire Wheaton. Designed by Atlanta-based The Preston Partnership, Solaire Wheaton has 232 luxury appointments with contemporary flair, and is located just two blocks from the Wheaton station on Metrorail’s Red Line. Leggett told attendees that the new community, built on the site of the former First Baptist Church, is not only a major milestone in the revitalization of Wheaton, but also has the distinction being situated “on holy ground.” WPC President Charles K. Nulsen III noted that the company, which also opened the 295-unit Solaire-Metro high-rise adjacent to the Silver Spring Metro station last year, is committed to sustainable, transit-oriented multifamily and mixed-use development in Montgomery County and the Washington, DC region.
