Luxury Apartments at Solaire Wheaton Are Now Leasing

Bethesda, MD-based Washington Property Company (WPC) is putting the final touches on its latest luxury apartment community, Solaire Wheaton, located just two blocks from the Wheaton station on Metrorail’s Red Line linking Washington, DC with  its Maryland suburbs. Apartments are leasing quickly, and some residents already have moved in.

Like WPC’s first Solaire community, located just steps from the Silver Spring (MD) Metro station, Solaire Wheaton offers the ultimate in convenient living at rental rates substantially below those in Washington, DC. Solaire Wheaton residents can not only walk to Metro but also to Westfield Wheaton Mall, anchored by Costco, Target, Macy’s, Sears, JC Penney, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Solaire Wheaton is surrounded by a tremendously diverse array of unique ethnic restaurants, cultural amenities, and nightlife venues that contribute to Wheaton’s dynamic urban lifestyle.

“The opening of Solaire-Wheaton is a milestone in the ongoing revitalization occurring in downtown Wheaton,” said WPC’s Evan Feldman, Associate Vice President of Development and Acquisitions.  “We started planning eight years ago for this project, built on the site of the former First Baptist Church. With more than 1,000 new apartments, the new Safeway and Costco, and planned relocation of the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Wheaton is emerging as a dynamic 24-7 urban environment where people can live, work, and play.”
