Craft and Fall Festivals, RamPace 5K and More in Montgomery County

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Check out some of the fun things going on around the area.

  • Description: Students at Northwood High School present the 1967 musical about a day in the life of Charles M. Schultz’s beloved characters.

Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

Fall Festival

  • When: Friday, Nov. 16, 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Description: Event includes a marketplace of diverse offerings, a silent auction and a beer and wine tasting.
  • Cost: Free.

Holiday Open House

Legally Blonde

  • Where: James Hubert Blake High School, 300 Norwood Rd., Colesville.
  • When: Friday, Nov. 16, 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m.
  • Description: Students at James Hubert Blake High School present Legally Blonde, the story about Elle, a fashion design grad student who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School.

Paint Branch Perspectives Present: Harvey

  • Where: Paint Branch High School, 14121 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville.
  • When: Friday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m.
  • Description: Students at Paint Branch High School present Harvey, a comedy about a man who is friends with a 6-foot rabbit not everyone can see.
  • Cost: $7.

Richard Montgomery High School Presents: Seven Sisters

  • Where: Richard Montgomery High School, 250 Richard Montgomery Dr., Rockville.
  • When: Friday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m.
  • Description: Students at Richard Montgomery High School present Seven Sisters, a comedy about mistaken identity and true love.
  • Cost: $5.

RamPace 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run

  • Where: 2100 Baltimore Rd., Rockville.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 17, 8 a.m.
  • Description: The 5K race starts at Rockville High School, travels up Baltimore Road to the Civic Center and back. Also, a family-friendly 1-mile fun run goes around the school track.  Proceeds go to Rockville High School's nationally award-winning newspaper, The Rampage.
  • Cost: $15.

46th Annual Garrett Park Craft Fair

  • Where: 10814 Kenilworth Ave., Garrett Park.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m.
  • Description: Vendors, crafts, art, entertainment and more.
  • Cost: Free.

Metalwork 2012 Exhibit

  • Where: VisArts, 155 Gibbs St., Rockville.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 17, 12 p.m.
  • Description: Jewelry, hollow ware, small sculpture and functional art created by members of the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths. 
  • Cost: Free.
