• SWEET PEA VALENTINE'S WORKSHOP
Where/When: offers this on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., just in time for Valentine's Day.
Why Go: It's a great way to get the kids to express themselves through art and nature.
Pricing: $10

• JIM CROW ON STREETCARS EXHIBIT
Where/When: The National Capital Trolley Museum is open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Why Go: This special exhibit is open during the month of February in honor of Black History Month. It's also a great opportunity to see and learn about trolley history. Perfect for kids (and grown-ups) who love trains and trolleys.

Where/When: The Brookside Nature Center hosts this fun event from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Here's a chance to find out all about this sweet treat, taste the sap and the syrup, too.
Pricing: $4 per child.

• ARTS ON THE BLOCK
Where/When: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at Arts on the Block
Why Go: Kids can help animals by making mosaic Valentines to benefit the Montgomery County Humane Society, and everyone can have fun with a variety of activities.

• PANEL DISCUSSION ON
Where/When: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at
Why Go: If you've always wanted your kids to take more of an interest in your garden or just feel like having the whole family get to know more about the food you eat, this discussion is for you. Grandparents, parents and kids of all ages are welcome.
Pricing: $15 for adults. $10 for students and seniors. FREE for children.
