Metro This Weekend

Single-tracking from Forest Glen to Takoma.

Following the lead of other major cities, WMATA is allowing Google Maps to use Metro data for its trip planning website. While that's helpful, you still have to deal with delays this weekend. Here's a quick look:

  • Single-tracking from Takoma to Forest Glen from 10 p.m. Friday to close on Sunday, as well as single-tracking from Friendship Heights to Grosvenor at the same time. Trains will leave every 24 minutes from either end of the Red line, and every 12 minutes from the beginning of no-single tracking (Friendship Heights to Takoma).
  • Trains from Foggy Bottom to Clarendon (Orange) and from Foggy Bottom to Arlington Cemetary (Blue) will be also single-tracking. Add 20 minutes if you're headed towards here or on the blue or orange lines.
  • Navy Yard to Anacostia on the Green line will also be single-tracking during the weekend - this is a 20 minute addition as well.
