Weekend track work on the Red Line takes a break this weekend, Dec. 29 and 30, according to Metro's website.
"The vast majority of Metrorail customers will enjoy normal service—free of track work—over the two weekends that precede the Christmas and New Year's holidays," Metro reported.
This weekend, "there will be no scheduled track work on the Red, Orange, Blue or Yellow lines. The only planned work will take place on the Green Line, and will only affect customers traveling to or from Greenbelt Station," Metro added.
Regular weekend track work will resume over the weekend of Jan. 4 through 6, Metro added.
