The Areopagus Forum provides opportunities to have open-minded, open-ended, informed, respectful,non-judgmental discussions about some of the difficult issues of our time that deserve and need such conversation. The Forum is a community event hosted by Northwood Presbyterian Church.
Beginning Jan. 20, the Forum topic will be the "sanctity of life," a broad subject area that includes abortion, euthanasia (assisted suicide), suicide, and capital punishment.
The goal of these Forums is to get topics "out on the table" and to start listening to and learning from one another, rather than trying to convince others of the rightness of any one position. Each Forum gathers when a topic is introduced and meets weekly for as long as participants are interested in discussing that topic.
