Aspen Hill Fire Displaces Up to 12 Families

A fire in the 14200 block of Weeping Willow Drive is under investigation.

A fire in a Wheaton-area apartment building may leave up to 12 families homeless.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to a fire in the 14200 block of Weeping Willow Drive in Aspen Hill around 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17, Asst. Chief Scott Graham said. 

The fire started in the terrace level of the apartment building and spread upwards, extending into multiple units, he said, adding gas and other utilities may have to be isolated.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no one was injured, Graham said.
