Police Blotter: March 14 to 22

An armed robbery outside an elementary school and residential burglaries.

Montgomery County Police have released the most recent crime statistics for the week of March 14 to March 22. In addition to the crimes described here, police reported one stolen vehicle and one sex offense in the Lincoln sectors.


Residential Burglary:

  • A suspect was arrested before anything was taken in an attempted residential burglary on the 2800 block of Sheraton Street on March 20 at 8:30 a.m. Police arrested a 44-year-old male from Silver Spring.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 12000 block of Valleywood Drive, on March 20 between 9 and 11 a.m.  Property was taken by forced entry. 

Suspect: Hispanic male, 20-25, 6’, thin build, wearing a gray sweatshirt with a small red Toyota 4-door sedan.

Robbery:

  • An armed robbery occurred outside on the grounds of Glenhaven Elementary School, on Sat. March 19, at 5:30 p.m. The victim and other young juveniles were walking outside when multiple suspects, older but still juveniles, approached. One said he had a knife, but it was not displayed. The victim's personal property was taken.
