Police Blotter: March 21 to March 29

Assault on Broadview and Parker.

Yesterday afternoon, Montgomery County Police released crime statistics for the week of March 21st to March 29. In addition to the crimes reported here, there was one stolen vehicle in the Wheaton area.


Officer Involved Shooting:

  • An office-involved , 13804 Georgia Ave, Aspen Hill on March 26 at 11:52 a.m.  

Arrested: Male, age 32, from Silver Spring.

Residential Burglary

  • Without forced entry, property was taken in the 3900 block of Isbell Street between March 20 at 10 a.m. and March 21 at 11 a.m. 

Robbery:

  • A 17-year-old male was on foot near the corner of Parker Avenue and Broadview Avenue on March 25 at 8:57 p.m. when a suspect approached him from behind and implied that he had a weapon, demanding money. No weapon was seen, but the suspect took personal property and then entered a vehicle waiting on Broadview. 

Assault:

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 12100 block of Grandview Avenue at 10:08 p.m on March 25. .

Arrested: three males, ages 21, 18 and 19, all from Silver Spring.    

  • A dispute between a contract employee and an employer over payment for week resulted in an aggravated assault in the 11300 block of Georgia Avenue between 3:50 p.m. and 8 p.m. on March 24. 

Arrested: male, 41, from Washington, DC.
