Police Blotter: March 28 to April 5

A robbery at the corner of Georgia and University Boulevard.

Yesterday, Montgomery County Police released the latest crime statistics for March 28 and April 5. In addition to the crimes described here, there were two stolen vehicles reported in the Wheaton area.


Residential Burglary:

  • Between 7 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. on April 1, there was a residential burglary in the 12100 block of Valleywood Drive. Property was taken without entry. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle sometime between March 29 and April 1. There was unknown means of entry and it was unknown whether anything was taken.

  • On April 4, at 5:38 p.m., a strong-arm robbery occurred at Georgia Avenue and University Boulevard. The adult female victim exited the C4 Metrobus from Piney Branch Road, at Georgia and Reedie. The suspects exited the same bus behind her and came up behind the victim and one suspect struck the victim on the arm. They grabbed the cell phone from the victim’s hand, and took her wallet. Both suspects ran north on the northbound side of Georgia Avenue.

Suspects: two black females, 19-22, both short and heavy, and one wearing a flower print shirt.
