Police Blotter: May 2 to May 11

An aggravated assault in Glenmont, robbery near the Wheaton Metro.

Assault:

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 2800 block of Atlanta Drive, on May 8 at at 6:29 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • A sexual assault occurred in the 10900 block of Inwood Avenue, May 8 at 9:50 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim. Arrested: Adult male, 29, from Washington D.C.

Robbery:

  • Suspects assaulted a victim and stole property near the  intersection of Grandview Avenue and Cory Terrace on May 8 at 11:50 p.m.  
  • An armed robbery occurred in the wooded area outside the Wheaton Metro (there was no given intersection) on May 9 at 10:20 p.m. The adult male victim was approached by the suspects who displayed a weapon and took property.

Residential Burglary:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 11900 block of Valleywood Drive, on May 4, between noon and 12:30 p.m. Property was taken through forced entry. 
  • There was an residential burglary attempt in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive, overnight between May 4 at 11 p.m. and May 5 and 9 a.m. While forced entry was attempted, nothing was taken.
