Police Blotter: Nov. 28 - Dec. 6

The Montgomery County Police have released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from November 28 to Dec. 6. This list is not comprehensive, but rather selects the ones that occurred in or very near Wheaton.

Robbery

A robbery occurred at, Kayson Street and Matey Road, Wheaton, on Dec. 4 at 10:45 p.m. The victim was assaulted and a weapon was used against him. Property was taken. Suspects: male and female, wearing all black clothing; Vehicle: light blue.

Strong-arm robberies

A strong-arm robbery occurred at McDonald’s, 12313 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring (near the corner of Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road) on Dec. 6. The suspect assaulted the victim and removed property. Suspect: black male, 25-35, 5’10 to 6’2, 195-210 lbs, short hair, facial stubble.

An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in front of McDonald’s, 2741 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, on Dec. 6 at 10:41 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.

A strong-arm robbery occurred on the grounds of Einstein High School, 11135 Newport Mill Road, Silver Spring, on Dec. 2 at 3:25 p.m. The suspects, who are known to the victim, intimidated the victim and obtained property.

Residential burglaries

A residential burglary occurred in the 3000 block of Blueridge Avenue, Silver Spring on Dec. 5 between 2:00 and 2:10 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
Suspect #1: white male, 18-23, 5’7” to 5’9”, 150-160 lbs;
Suspect #2: white male, 5’4” to 5’6”, 120-130 lbs, carrying red backpack.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Torrance Court, Kensington, on Dec. 5 between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 11500 block of Mapleview Avenue, Silver Spring, on Nov. 28 between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Unforced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Georgian Woods Place, Silver Spring, on Nov. 29 at 2:00 p.m. Unknown means of entry; property taken. Arrested: Male, 16, from Silver Spring

A residential burglary occurred in the 12000 block of Judson Road, Silver Spring, on Dec. 2 between 1:30 and 4:15 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of Annmore Drive, Silver Spring, on Dec. 5. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 1100 block of Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, on Dec. 3 at 3:00 a.m. Unforced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of South Belgrade Road, Silver Spring, on Nov. 29 at 1:45 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Orange Drive, Silver Spring, on Nov. 28 between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of S. Belgrade Road, Silver Spring, on Nov. 21 between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Unforced entry; property taken.
