Police Blotter: Sept. 19-27

A strong-arm robbery and attempted strong-arm robbery and two residential burglaries occurred in the Wheaton area.

Yesterday, Montgomery County Police released the latest crime statistics for the Fourth District, from September 19 through September 27.

Robbery:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Julep Avenue, Wheaton on Thursday, Sept. 22.  Entry was forced and property was taken.
  • On Sept. 24, a residential burglary occurred in the 3500 block of Bel Pre Road, Aspen Hill between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.  The means of entry is unknown and no property was taken.
  • A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 3700 block of Bel Pre Road, Aspen Hill on Monday, Sept. 26 at 9:10 p.m. The adult female victim was walking along Bel Pre Road. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Suspect: black male, 30-40, 5’7”, 180 lbs. wearing a black skull cap and a long sleeve black shirt.

  • On Sept. 20 at 4:30 p.m., an attempted strong-arm robbery/assault occurred in the 2300 block of London Bridge Drive, Silver Spring. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to obtain property.

 

Suspects: two Hispanic male teenagers.
