UPDATE: Missing Woman from Leisure World Located in Arlington

Libby Appel Leibowitz, 91, was last seen leaving her home Thursday morning, but was found Friday afternoon in Arlington, Va.

Libby Appel Leibowitz, 91, of Silver Spring, was located Friday afternoon in Arlington, Va., after going missing Thursday morning, according to Montgomery County Police.

Montgomery County Police are searching for a 91-year-old woman from Silver Spring who went missing Thursday morning.

Libby Appel Leibowitz, 91, of the 15000 block of Haslemere Court in Silver Spring, was last seen leaving her residence in her vehicle on Sept. 13 at 10:45 a.m. She was driving a dark green 2003 Toyota Camry with Maryland tag number AMS562.

Leibowitz never made it to her destination, and police and family are concerned for her well-being.

Leibowitz is described as a white female, approximately 5′ 6″ tall and weighing 180 pounds. She has white hair and brown eyes. Leibowitz has a medical condition that requires medication. 

Anyone who comes into contact with Leibowitz is asked to call police immediately. Anyone with information regarding Leibowitz’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
