News Station Obtains Video of Metro Riders Falling Down Drunk
Four people are seen falling onto tracks and off of escalators due to alleged alcohol-induced impairment.
Video surveillance footage beginning in November shows four Metro users taking potentially dangerous falls due to drunkenness, NBC4 reported Saturday.
All the passengers were said to have survived the falls, according to the station.
Metro spokesman Dan Stessel told the station passengers should be aware of the danger of using the system while intoxicated. “If they do find themselves in a position where they have trouble walking or standing, they might want to take a cab instead,” he said.
Incidents were seen on the Orange and Green lines, according to the report.
