Wheaton Small Business Group Meets Thursday

Attendees at the morning meeting will discuss strategies for engaging the business community.

A work group focusing on small businesses in Wheaton will meet Thursday, Dec. 13, at 8 a.m. in the Mid-County Regional Services Center.

The meeting is open to the public and will last approximately an hour. The work group is scheduled to discuss strategies to engage the business community, according to Ana Lopez van Balen, director of the Mid-County Regional Services Center.

A recent Wheaton Urban District newsletter outlined the work group's purpose and its objectives: helping small businesses prepare for coming changes in Wheaton due to revitalization and redevelopment, and encouraging these businesses to use Wheaton-based resources, such as the Gilchrist Center for Cultural Diversity.
