PHOTOS: John F. Kennedy High School Class of 2012 Graduates

The Class of 2012 graduated Monday afternoon at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

The graduation ceremony for began at 2:30 p.m. on June 11 with opening remarks by Kayla Ware, senior class secretary.

Aaron Eichelberger and Matthew Walters were selected as student speakers. Walters reminded the graduates that "we did not make it on our own. We made it because someone in our circle of friends and family helped us."

Kennedy alumnus Dustin T. Duncan ('01) gave the commencement address, telling the graduates that "because life is finite, don't take anything for granted. Live."

Principal Eric L. Minus challenged graduates that as they left high school to make it a goal to "return to the community that has supported you."

"Are you willing to give back to someone as much as you've been given?" he asked.
