Summer Fun!

We know it is summertime and everyone has a million things to do.

Please add one more thing to your "to-do" list:  attend one of the hearings about the Costco gas station issue.

Seriously!  This is a great way to learn about how our system works to decide such complex issues.  Yes, complex.  That's what Costco's lawyer says, and we agree.

The hearings are long and sometimes tiring (maybe even boring), but in a few hours you can learn a LOT!  And the experience is free!

Mr. Grossman, the Hearing Examiner has repeatedly said that he welcomes citizen input (there are a few rules you need to follow) and has demonstrated the sincerity of his comment, repeatedly.  He has even set aside a portion of the hearing on July 31, expressly for citizens who have not filed any papers, etc. to offer comment.

So please attend one of the hearings.  Express your opinion (it has to be a new wrinkle, because the rules say you can't just say the same thing that a lot of others have already said).

Of course the Stop Costco Gas Coalition hopes you will say something (new) in support of our position.  But whether you support us or not, please find some time to participate.  Every opinion matters (of course this not like voting - the process is designed to sift out facts, not simply conduct a poll of how many agree with the applicant or the opposition).

For much more information, including brief factual reports on all the previous hearings, you can access our website at
